Well, you could possibly have just gotten yourself into more than you can handle. Or at least a group of people who are crazier than you.

Hello, and welcome to the Fanatic Writer's Guild--a little part of Deviantart that I've dedicated to making the world a little more friendly to writers.

As a writer, but absolutely NOT a visual artist, i discovered fairly quickly how unfriendly and unencouraging most communities can be to writers. It left a bad taste in my mouth, and left me feeling very, very discrimiated against. So, after some discussion with my roommate, I ~Empress-Eerian-Sadow, decided to create a place where people like me could be themselves.

Anyone is welcome to watch or join, as long as they have an appreciation for written work. You don't have to like all of what's here, but you can't go around bashing it. Be constructive--its a writer's best friend. And give everyone--young and old, new or experienced--a fair chance at becoming someone better than they were.

Bestselling authors are not made overnight. They take a long time to build, and a lot of effort. Hopefully, this place will encourage growth in everyone.

How To Join

1. Send me a note at the club or at my personal account with the subject "Join" or "I would like to join" or something to that effect.

2. If i offered you an invite, just leave a comment in the journal or comment on my invite.

3. When you join, please add the club link somewhere in your journal or signature. publicity is good for the club and the writers involved. i won't be a hag about this one, but i would like it if you helped me spread the word.

4. Let me know if there is another site that you post your work on that you would like me to advertise for you. if there is one, please send me the link. (for example, i've linked my ff(dot)net account on the member page)


How to Submit Writing

1. Send the club a note with the link for your piece. i will not accept club submissions on my personal account. it gets cluttered enough as it is.

2. With your submission, please note what catgeory it fits into (origonal fiction, fanfiction, nonfiction) and what fandom if applicable.

3. If you don't want me to write a blurb (that's the little description of your piece) send me that as well.

4. Mature content is okay, as long as it is marked as such in your note. Also, writing dealing with homosexualism, religion, politics and literally ANY other subject matter is allowed. Just tell me if anything potentially offensive is contained in your work, so that it can be noted in the blurb.


Club News January 4, 2008

so, its been a while, huh? since august of 2007 in fact; nearly six months since i managed to updat the club. i humbly apologize for this profusely. my home life got out of hand and work got out of hand (again) then i moved, then it was the holiday season and i work retail which made me exhausted. now that all that's over, i'm back and so is the club.

i was pretty floored by the fact that we only had five members join in the last five months. it was really surprising. they are all appropriately added and tagged over on the member page.

also, we're still taking claims for the 50 prompts and themes challenge ([link] ). just drop a comment in the journal with the prompt or theme you want to write for.

club updates are now going to come on mondays from now on, so that i'm not trying to update this, the and all on the same day.

finally, don't be afraid to link me a bunch of works all at once. i love to read, and i tend to need something to do while i'm at work. reading print out of your fics kills two birds with one stone that way. like i've said before, i don't have time anymore to go through all your journals and pic out fic to archive here, so if you want something posted here, you'll have to note me the links.
